Sweet and romantic or hot and sweaty??

How do you like yours?? When you are getting caught up in the romance of a book or a movie, do you want to hear/see all the naughty details or do you like it glossed over and left to your imagination? I personally like a little…..ok a lot of spice to my romance indulgences and don’t mind reading every dirty detail and catching some skin on the screen is always welcome. Especially if it is Hugh Jackman’s delicious backside…..I am just saying…… A naughty little tidbit about me…..listen up closely….. I LOVE writing the SEXY parts in my books, I especially LOVE writing them in a public setting….such as a coffee shop? Does this make me a little freakish?? Maybe, but I wouldn’t change my odd proclivities!! So here is the question of the day hot/sweaty or sweet/romantic or a mixture of both??

    Mixture of both.

I like hot, sweet, sweaty romance. =9

I love seeing flashes of skin on-screen. I love reading every minute detail…

…but I also love it when they get hot’n'heavy without spelling out everything in explicit detail. And I don’t much like it when certain words are used, no matter how dirty things get.

    details are always welcomed :)

Personally I believe it depends on the story. I love reading all the little details. You never know when you’re going to learn something from them either. ;)

But there is also something to be said for leaving it to the imagination. Each story is different, but all variations are wonderful.

I agree with Rose. I think it depends on the story - not on the genre necessarily, but how the reader becomes involved with the characters and how things unfold. It’s a fit for the book that exists above characterization for me. I don’t have a preference for either, really, though the details never hurt.
